Marcie was born and raised in Versailles, KY, moved to New York for a few years, then moved back because she missed her Kentucky home. After high school, Marcie got a job as a dog washer at Woodford Vet Clinic, where she stayed for almost 26 years, working just about every position possible. She went from dog bather to assistant, then receptionist, then technician, lab tech, pharmacy technician, and receptionist supervisor. Marcie believes that working so many positions has given her the experience needed to be a great practice manager. While working at Woodford, she was also earning her Bachelor’s degree in education. She graduated in 2003, and after completing her student teaching, realized she was already working where her heart wanted to be—with 4-legged children, not 2-legged! Marcie and her husband Randy both share a deep love for animals and the outdoors. She has 2 children, and 3 pets: Bailey, a Terrier mix; Addi, a Goldendoodle; and Daisy, a domestic shorthair cat. When she’s not at work, she enjoys doing anything outdoors, including boating, camping, fishing, gardening, and hiking.
