Signs Your Pet Needs to See an Emergency Vet
Please give our clinic a call at (859) 224-2287, or contact one of the emergency vets listed above if you see any of these signs in your pet:
- Severe/non-stop bleeding
- Gagging, choking, and/or difficulty breathing
- Painful when touched
- Sustained injury to one or both eyes
- Straining or unable to pass stool or urine
- Bleeding from the ears, nose mouth, or rectum
- Blood in stool/vomit
- Lameness or inability to walk
- You caught your pet ingesting a rat poison, xylitol, antifreeze, or chocolate
- No eating or drinking for 24 hours or more
- Repeated vomiting/diarrhea
- Abnormally high body temperature
- Lethargic/disoriented, unable to stand upright
- Loss of consciousness
