Our Veterinarians
Dr. Elizabeth Banks
Veterinarian, Practice Owner
Pets are members of the family. They give us endless love, are excited to see us when we come home, and are sad to see us leave. They give the most altruistic form of love.
When I was a little girl, I remember telling my mom that the only thing our pets did wrong was not live long enough. I am passionate about keeping a pet as a healthy member of the family and giving them a voice. This means staying on top of all current veterinary recommendations and being proactive with their care.
My primary interests as a veterinarian include internal medicine, surgery, dermatology and allergies, ultrasound, and geriatric wellness care.
When I’m not working, I enjoy cheering on my boys with their various sports, being involved with their school, making memories with my family at Herrington Lake, and cooking and baking.
Dr. Kim Hill
Veterinarian
Dr. Hill is a native Lexingtonian. She graduated from Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, and has been practicing in Central Kentucky ever since. Dr. Hill’s main interests include wellness care, geriatric care, dermatology, and internal medicine. She enjoys spending time with her husband of 20 years, Ryan, and their 3 energetic boys Logan, Parker and Reed. Dr. Hill also shares her home with 3 pets; Timo, a miniature Schnauzer, Chili the Boston Terrier, and a cat named Fernando. In her spare time (ha!), she enjoys spending time outdoors, exercising, and attending her boys’ sports games.
Dr. Connor Huskey
Veterinarian
Pets have always played a huge role in Dr. Huskey’s life, so it was only natural for him to have an affinity for animals and helping them live a long and happy life. He was born in Paducah, but moved to Lexington while he was in middle school. He attended the University of Kentucky for his undergraduate degree and then went on to attend Auburn for veterinary school. He missed Lexington, so he returned home to practice veterinary medicine. Dr. Huskey shares his home with Denali, a Shepherd mix he adopted during his first year of vet school. She’s cuddly, high energy, and loves everyone. In his spare time, Dr. Huskey enjoys watching sports (football, basketball, UK athletics), working out, taking Denali on long walks, cooking, and playing video games.
Our Support Team
Marcie S.
Practice Manager
Marcie was born and raised in Versailles, KY, moved to New York for a few years, then moved back because she missed her Kentucky home. After high school, Marcie got a job as a dog washer at Woodford Vet Clinic, where she stayed for almost 26 years, working just about every position possible. She went from dog bather to assistant, then receptionist, then technician, lab tech, pharmacy technician, and receptionist supervisor. Marcie believes that working so many positions has given her the experience needed to be a great practice manager. While working at Woodford, she was also earning her Bachelor’s degree in education. She graduated in 2003, and after completing her student teaching, realized she was already working where her heart wanted to be—with 4-legged children, not 2-legged! Marcie and her fiancé Randy will be marrying in August 2022; they both share a deep love for animals and the outdoors. She has 2 children, and 4 pets: Ginger, a Boxer Mix; Bailey, a Terrier mix; Addi, a Goldendoodle; and Daisy, a domestic shorthair cat. When she’s not at work, she enjoys doing anything outdoors, including boating, camping, fishing, gardening, and hiking.
Justin B.
CFO
Justin Banks is married to Dr. Banks. He was born and raised in central KY and attended the University of Kentucky, where he majored in accounting and finance. Justin’s world revolves around his family, and he loves nothing more than watching his boys play soccer, basketball and lacrosse. He is also a die-hard UK basketball and football fan.
Kayla V.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Kayla was born and raised in Lexington. She wanted to work with animals since she was a kid, so it was only natural for her to pursue a vet tech license. After graduating high school, Kayla enrolled in Murray State University and graduated with a B.S. in animal science and agriculture. She finished her internship to become a licensed technician, and has been with Banks Veterinary Clinic ever since. At home, Kayla has 2 cats; Buc, a tabby, and Kimchi, an orange tabby (and little troublemaker). She’s dedicated to giving her cats (and our patients) the best lives they can have.
Tara R.
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Born and raised in Madison County, Tara always had a passion for working with and helping animals. She was raised around dogs and cats her entire life. After graduating high school in 2017, Tara got accepted into Morehead State University. She received her associate of applied science in veterinary technology in 2019, then passed her VTNE in 2020 to become a licensed veterinary technician. In 2021, Tara received her Bachelor of Science in veterinary technology. As a member of our team, she goes above and beyond to ensure that our clients leave with a better understanding of their pets. Tara has always felt that animal health care is just as important as human health care. At home, Tara has a Rat Terrier named Sandy, whom she adopted from a shelter in 2019, and her mom’s cats, Boo and Hank. In her spare time, she loves listening to music, and going for walks with Sandy and cuddling up with her to watch Netflix.
Justin E.
Veterinary Assistant
Justin is a Kentucky native, born in Richmond and raised in Berea. Growing up, his family always had a dog, from a Chow mix named Cinnamon to many Dachshunds. He wanted to work with animals since his mid-twenties, but worked many other jobs before landing his position here at Banks Veterinary Clinic of Beaumont. He originally went to college to become a fire investigator, and later worked as an automotive technician. Justin started working with us as a volunteer before being hired on full-time, and he plans to attend vet school in the not-so-distant future. One of the things he loves to do in his role as veterinary assistant is reciprocate the affection that animals give, and promote positive energy to build trust and maintain a positive relationship with people and their pets. Justin has a four-legged family member of his own, his “main dude” Ollie, a Husky/Shepherd mix who loves belly rubs. Outside of helping animals and people, Justin is passionate about basketball, football, woodworking, craft beer, video games and sports cars.
Caryssa M.

Caryssa is a life-long resident of Lexington, and she has 5 siblings. She has always loved working with and being around animals, and currently has 4 pets: Dakota, a Boxer, Leo, a miniature Schnauzer, and 2 hamsters, Evie and Ivie. As a valuable part of our team, Caryssa is dedicated to giving every pet the best possible experience at our clinic, so they won’t be anxious or fearful about going to the vet. She also strives to go above and beyond with our clients, to treat them and their pets with the utmost respect. In her spare time, Caryssa likes driving around and listening to music, and being with her family, friends, and boyfriend.

Kelsey M.
Veterinary Assistant
Originally from Louisville, Kelsey came to Woodford in 2007, then moved to Georgetown, KY, where she feels right at home. Kelsey wanted to be in the veterinary field ever since she was little, and she has always loved animals. It was a dream of hers to work in veterinary medicine, and she made that dream come true. Kelsey held her first job at Noble View; Dr. Noble gave her an incredible opportunity and taught her everything she knows. Today, Kelsey continues providing the best care she can to her patients and always puts herself in the owner’s shoes. She enjoys creating positive experiences for pets and their families, so they can leave feeling satisfied.
Kelsey is grateful for her loving, supportive parents, and for her spoiled and super-sweet Boxer/Pit mix, Borla. When she isn’t working, Kelsey enjoys horseback riding, spending time with her family and friends, shopping, exploring, and trying new things.
Tracy C.
Lead Customer Service Representative
Tracy was born in West Lafayette, Indiana. She moved around several times over the years, going from Louisville, KY, to Murfreesboro, TN, then to Versailles, KY, before finally landing in Lexington. Tracy originally had hopes of becoming a vet, but there were some aspects of the profession that didn’t quite fit for her (such as looking at wounds and broken bones). Being a CSR lets her still be with pets, and she also gets to help the techs. Tracy’s husband manages a horse farm and they have 2 sons. They also have a Retriever mix named Siva, who loves her dad and brothers very much. When she’s not working, Tracy enjoys watching sports, especially UK football and basketball. She started running in 2019, and completed 3 half marathons in 2021.
Brooke A.
Client Service Representative
Brooke was born and raised in Lexington. She became a vet receptionist so she could have a career she truly has a passion for. Brooke has a wonderful family that includes two dogs; a Beagle mix named Blue and a Malamute mix named Korra. Korra was rescued from the Lexington Humane Society and thinks she’s much smaller than she really is. Blue acts as the household doorbell, barking up a storm whenever the mailman comes by. Brooke is an avid Funko Pop collector and MCU fan. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, reading, and journaling. She also loves concerts and stand-up comedy.
